The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, as well as the Shreveport Police Department, provides full-time School Resource Officers to the High Schools throughout Caddo Parish. The Caddo Parish School Board's provides part-time School Liaison Officers to the Middle Schools throughout Caddo Parish. These officers provide law enforcement assistance to the schools and assist with the overall security at the schools. They act as a resource for the students and faculty, conducting instructional programs on drug prevention, gang activity, personal safety, driver safety, and other subject areas related to crime and safety awareness and prevention.

SRO/SLO Primary Objectives:

    * Provide a safe environment for students and staff.
    * Teach basic Louisiana law that directly affects teens.
    * Provide a positive link between law enforcement, the school board and community.
