Hi! I am Brian Trahan. I have been teaching in Caddo for 6 years. I am an avid lover of sports – especially football and baseball. I also enjoy video games. I am looking forward to coming to Youree Drive and working with the Social Studies team to grow our 7th and 8th grade students.

She received her Bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University. Hello. My Name is Leah Harris. I will begin my eighteenth year of teaching this school year. I am so excited to be teaching seventh grade Math at YDMS. Previously, I have taught first, third, and fifth grade.
My husband, David and I have two grown children, Andrew and Lara. Also, we are proud grandparents to our two and a half year-old granddaughter, Grey Marie. In our spare time, my husband and I enjoy going to concerts, watching college football, and spending time with our granddaughter.

Hello, I'm Jennifer Pace. I've been teaching for 26 years with 19 of those years as a gifted teacher. I have Master's in Education plus gifted, reading specialist, and educational technology certifications. I enjoy reading, traveling, and playing games, especially trivia! My name is Cassidy Jones and I will be teaching 6th Grade ELA this year at Youree Drive! I graduated Cum Laude from Centenary College with degrees in English and Theatre. I was also a member of the Centenary Choir and just toured with them in Greece. I am pursuing a Master's of Arts in Teaching at Centenary and will graduate this May. I look forward to teaching this school year!

I graduated from Southwood High School in 1992. I served in the United States Air Force ✈️ from 1998-2005. Later, I attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport and received a Bachelor of Science in 2009. I then taught Health and Physical Education at Bellaire Elementary in Bossier Parish from 2010-2021. As I taught, I earned my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2017. As I continued my teaching career, I taught 3 years at University Elementary in Caddo Parish from 2022-2024; 2 years as a Health and Physical Education Teacher with 1 year as a Librarian / 5th Grade Math Teacher.
I enjoy watching LSU athletics, sports, technology, and spending time with family. I am married to my wife, Brooklyn Amidon. Together, we have 5 children.

📣We are excited to announce open recruitment for the YDMS Pep Squad! The squad will consist of 60 members selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
🗓️Please mark your calendars for the uniform fitting on August 20th at 3:30 PM. Parents must accompany students for the fitting session.
💰 Pep Squad fee amount is $500 and is required to be submitted no later than August 23rd.
