Congratulations to our Youree drive middle Spartan Band members at the District VIII Honor band.
Moghan Coatney, Dillion Washington, Le'arrika Morris, Landon Jackson, Chaden Williams, and Winter Robertson were selected to play in their respected ensemble along with other talented students across the Surrounding Area. These students rehearsed for 3 and half days to put on an amazing concert!!

Tryouts take place after school. Everyone will walk to Lee Hedges together as a group.
Pickup: Parents, please pick up your athletes at Lee Hedges Stadium at 4:45 PM.
📝 What You Need to Know (and Bring!):
Bring a change of clothes and tennis shoes.
A Permission Slip is REQUIRED to participate! Make sure to see Coach Grace ASAP to pick yours up before your tryout day.

Students are allowed to wear regular clothes. Clothing should be aligned with CPSB dress code policy. No hoodies, crocs or slides. Shorts/Skirts must be 4 inch above knee. No rips or tears above knee of jeans. No leggings or tights.
There is also a pep rally on this day. Cheer and pep squad should not pay if they are required to be in their uniforms. Other spring sports will wear their jersey with uniform pants unless they pay for free dress.

Calendar Update for Caddo Families!
The Caddo Parish School Board has approved a revision to the 2025–2026 school calendar to recover instructional time lost due to recent winter weather closures.
March 5 and March 6 are now full instructional days.
Students will attend school and follow their normal schedules on both days.
We appreciate your partnership as we prioritize learning time for our students. Families who wish to schedule conferences may contact their school directly.
Yesterday was National SRO/SLO Day, and we are so grateful for one of the very best! Corporal Warren goes above and beyond every single day to support our students and staff. He truly cares about our campus and keeps Youree Drive a safe, welcoming place for everyone. We are so lucky to have him—he is definitely an incredible asset to our campus! 💙🚓

Chaden represented Youree Drive Middle School well in New Orleans as he rehearsed alongside the top middle school musicians from across Louisiana as a member of the Louisiana All-State Middle School Honor Band. He auditioned on high school-level music and ranked among the best in the state—an incredible accomplishment!
